Project 365: Day 342 – Skates and bikes. Rolling in Romania

8th June 2015 – Bucharest, Romania

The wheels are in motion. And they are soaked in adrenaline.

And somehow, once again, I find myself again in the giant park.

But not for the Indian festivities that clouded the horizon yesterday,

But rather for the inlines, the bikes and the skates. And all their spark.

Herestrau skate park, Bucharest, romania

With the freestylers and the free birds – Bucharest, Romania

I don’t know what’s with me and the Herestrau park, but I am back again here today.

Well, it wasn’t intentional. It just happened that I was walking towards the central train station, and somehow, unintentionally my path led to the Herestrau, yet again.

But I had something new to click today, and not just the Indian festival which I was clicking for the last couple of days. At the entrance of the Herestrau park, is a complete skate park which had some kind of gathering going. The music was catchy, and the people were young. So, I stopped.

They were having some kind of competition going, and I choose to click around for a little bit, before heading to the Gare du nord to book my train tickets. I did not have a very good first day in Bucharest, but since then I have begun to like this city. It may be the people I met, or the fun events I have been to, but whatever the reason, it has already been 6 days since I am here. And it is high time to get moving.

I have 3 more days for Europe, and those 3 days will be in Sofia, Bulgaria. I booked a train ticket today to confirm this fact.
