Project 365: Day 291 – Dancing with the Lithuanians

18th April 2015 – Vilnius, Lithuania

Spring was already a distant dream,
And winter cradled me back into her arms.
My 2 left legs came along for a party,
Where I had neither the grace nor the charms.
vilnius, lithuania, dancing, travel, photography

Because my dancing skills were horrible, I clicked the band instead. – Vilnius, Lithuania

I was just feeling joyful a week ago in France and Spain, because I was finally back in warm countries and was able to travel around in my shorts. Well, its still winter in the Baltics. So, screw my life!

I braved the winter and went out to old town today with another friend from couchsurfing, who I had hosted in Singapore before, and then met again in Paris. Vaida was an art and architecture expert, so it gave me the added bonus of getting some insider tips about different things in the old town.

But I stupidly left my SD card back in my laptop, so couldn’t take any pictures!

Thankfully in the evening, Margarita took me to a folk dancing event at the Lithuanian music academy. Now, I thought the Serbians were tall. But the Lithuanians can beat that any day! (Ask their basketball team). And to make matters worse, I was born with 3 feet. So, as you’d imagine, I was staying shy off the dance floor.

That didn’t mean I can’t click the music band playing, though.
