Project 365: Day 289 – In Gaudi’s Barcelona again

16th April 2015 – Barcelona, Spain

I was back in favoured Spanish pastures.
I loved the smell and the feel of this city.
My heart cried to stay here longer. But my wallet?
Well, it had turned deaf. What a sodden pity!

Sagrada familia of the night – Barcelona, Spain

Last evening, we managed to take a late evening bus to Barcelona, from Toulouse, arriving late into the night.

I had a quick day in Barcelona today, before heading to the Baltic regions. I was not spending more time here, because i have been in Barca before. It is near and dear to me, and is also my favourite city in Western Europe, but I can’t stay too long here. After all, western Europe doesn’t come cheap.

So, we lazed around at home the whole day and did some cooking. By evening, we went out for some shopping, and passed by the Sagrada Familia by dark. I had not expected this. Since this was a national monument, I expected there to be some lighting around it. None. Zilch. The famous Gaudi building stood entirely dark in the night.

Well, I still managed to take some clicks against the light. And then, I left to the airport for my flight early in the morning.

From where? I will write to you from Lithuania tomorrow!
