Project 365: Day 285 – The French connection

12th April 2015 – Marseille, France

The Spaniards will have to wait.
I am headed French. For now.
The riviera holds a special attraction.
Lets check it out. And how!

Mornings at the station. – Marseille, France

Last night, after the reunion, I left with Aurelie to France. Or rather the French riviera.

She is from Toulon. And I had an opportunity to visit her family, and I could also visit Marseille, Nice, Monaco and Toulouse. And finish off in Andorra, before heading back to Barcelona. That was the plan for the next 1 week.

So, we took the IDbus from Barcelona to Marseille last night, and reached Marseille by early morning, to wait for a little while for our train to Toulon. Marseille has this unique French feel, somewhere between Ghetto and Gelato. Between style and rough edges.

We hung around for a while, enjoying the morning views, and then took the train to Toulon. In Toulon, Aurelie’s mom picked me up, and her brothers made me comfortable immediately.

I think the South of France looks very promising for the next few days.
