Project 365: Day 262 – Parks, palaces, and peacocks.

20th March 2015 – Warsaw, Poland

Between two palaces, lies a park so wide
that it is big enough to hold yet another palace.
From white houses and white statues,
What else this place holds, is worth a guess.
Warsaw, poland, lazinski park, travel, europe, photography

I really couldn’t decide who was more colourful. The boy or the peacock. – Warsaw, Poland.

My walking today, which I do quite a lot nowadays, took me to the Lazienski park.

Occupying 76 hectares, this massive park-and-palace complex is stuffed with structures, ranging from a Chopin monument, to a water palace. There is also a roman theatre and a building actually called the white house.

I might have clicked a lot of pictures today, but nothing was as exciting as seeing the peacocks who are scattered around Lazienski park. There are also swans and ducks in this park, but nothing captures the imagination like a peacock.

Especially when I see little kids play with them.
