Project 365: Day 183 – The last rays of the year

31st December 2014 – Unawatuna, Sri Lanka

Well, its the end of a great year, isn’t it?
What started off with a shot of adrenalin, has now stretched
Six whole months. And six more to go. And plenty more stories
Waiting to be told. These feet are meant to go to lands farfetched.

Aww. And I close the year all alone 🙁 – Unawatuna, Sri Lanka

The day started, once again, with early morning drinking. You could actually say that I brushed my teeth with some vodka.

Well, there was no reason not to! It was the end of a glorious year, as I saw it. The last 12 months saw me visit nearly 15 countries, and spending 6 months entirely on my backpack. The feeling is amazing. And it is even better when you sink it in with a few shots in the morning.

After lunch, we went to the beach again, to see the sunset we couldn’t see a couple of days ago. Behind the buddha on the Unawatuna beach, the sun went down with all its glory, carrying the last rays of the year along with it. A year of amazing moments, will now remain blissful memories.

Now, there is the craziness of the night, that I have to deal with.
