Project 365: Day 294 – Goodbye to winter. Finally! I hope!

21st April 2015 – Vilnius, Lithuania

The forecast looks good. Even if today looks bad.
I hope, and pray, this is the end indeed.
I am not just saying my goodbye to Lithuania,
I am saying it to winter too. Sun is what I need.

Everything in Lithuania is so tall. Even their statues! – Vilnius, Lithuania

The day started with me being lazy on the bed, and ended up pretty much the same way.

The cold winds have made my stay in Lithuania not as pleasant as I hoped, despite the fact that I had good friends around me. But I checked the forecast today, and everything looks great from tomorrow. For both Latvia and Estonia, where I am heading after Vilnius.

I managed to get only a little time outside today, and only 1 picture. That of the elektra statue atop the energy and technology museum. Originally destroyed during the soviet rule, the statue was rebuilt again in 1994, and has stayed till then. And since then, it has stayed as a beacon, visible from anywhere near the Mindaugas bridge.

I think there is more to the Baltics than Lithuania. And I am heading to find out tomorrow. Next stop, Riga!
