Project 365: Day 269 – Goodbye to a student town

27th March 2015 – Leuven, Belgium

It was time to move on, and say my goodbyes
To a student town, where I ended up somehow.
Leuven has been mesmerising, more than I imagined.
But its time to get back with some old love now.

The university shines bright – Leuven, Belgium

It was my last day in Belgium today, so I decided to…. bum around in the house!

Well, partly the rain was to blame, which has been steady the last few days, making me a little lazy. Also, I had to catch up on some posts on my blog. So, I stayed in Annemie’s cozy house all day.

In the evening, we went out a little bit to Ladeuzeplain square in Leuven, which is where the university students congregate after a hard day’s work. Or study, whatever you call it.

One remarkable building in these areas, which I choose to click today, was the University library, or the Universiteitsbibliotheek, which stood at the centre of the square. And ahead of it, was also a unique sculpture of a dead beetle, high up on a needle.

Well, thats it from Belgium for now. Tomorrow, I head back to the city of Love.

Paris again!
