7th February 2015 – Belgrade, Serbia
The snow finally stopped falling, and I settled for a really long walk. The kind I normally hate. But hey, Belgrade changes men. There are beautiful women at every corner, and I can say I enjoyed the journey more than the destination. Amen.
The snow stopped falling today, and I decided to take a long walk towards the tip of old Belgrade. To the fortress.
The walk did have its benefits. As one of my friends said, Belgrade is like a city of supermodels. Every girl that walked past me, was at least a 7 in the old-school rate card that we boys had at high school. I hate walking, but this time, it was a pleasant walk. Smiling, and getting smiled at, by pretty Serbian girls, is the best way one can think of to get to an old fortress.
The Belgrade fortress, or Beogradska Tvrdava in Serbian, consists of the Kalemagdan park and the citadel, and is a fine place to spend a couple of hours just walking around. Yeah, there is snow everywhere, but I really didn’t mind.
Enough of sightseeing for the day. Am going to get myself some Serbian Rakia for now. Lets see how it compares to the Turkish version.
