Project 365: Day 197 – Bright lights and Maafushi nights

14th January 2015 – Maafushi, Maldives

The morning sun had dispersed its hues already,
And the island gave way to the encroaching night.
An eclectic mix of boats, lights and water.
They cut into a dark night, a rather splendid sight.

Shouting in the night – Maafushi, Maldives

With the morning views of Maafushi becoming a little too familiar, I didn’t bother to take my camera out the whole day. But at night, I took a tripod and headed out to capture the night essence of this small island, however negligible it may be.

But surprisingly, there were some beautiful angles even in this small island. The clear waters often had clean and long reflections in the night, and all the beachfront restaurants had some nice lighting on the beach.

Well, it was a short 4-5 days in Maldives. And it is time to head back tomorrow to Sri Lanka. More about that later.
